Up for auction or purchase is a very rare full 4-volume set of the 1940 Carmelite Breviarium Romanum published by Marietti. They are in excellent condition and are one of last versions of the Breviary that Marietti published using the venerable Vulgate Psalter. The Carmelite Breviary is the Roman Breviary, just with feasts proper to the Carmelite Order added, as well as the names of St. Teresa and St. Elias in the Confiteor and the A Cunctis. This set would be excellent ...for a Carmelite that you know who wants to pray the traditional Breviary, or even a secular priest or seminarian who wants to learn the traditional Breviary and who doesn't mind having the Carmelite propers in his set. The ribbons in all four volumes are in good condition for being 80 years old, as one of the pictures shows.
