This handsome six piece set of French knives with horn handles and silvercollars was created by L. Morlot, as stamped on the blades. Morlot was a cutlerin Paris, rue du Faubourg-du-Roule (today “rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré”), during the second half of the 19th century. The very original handles are in the form of ram's hooves orlegs and the blades are rounded at the end...s, a characteristic of 19th century knives. The color of the natural horn handles variesslightly from piece to piece and, along with the above mentioned silvercollars, lends this ensemble all the elegance expected from the famoustradition of French cutlery. This set of knives is in very good condition withthe exception of stains on the blades due to age and use. Pleaserefer to the detailed photos on this page.
