This is a lovely vintage pin cushion half doll which stands 4 3/4 inches high; measures 1 3/4" inches wide and it dates to around the 1920's. This half doll is in the form of an art deco flapper woman wearing a green, blue and brown turban, mauve dress and orange and yellow earrings. She has an elongated body and her hands are clasped under her chin. This half doll was probably made by the American Company of Foulds & Freure - see illustr...ation on page 188 of Collector's Encyclopedia of Half Dolls by Marion & Werner. There is no manufacturer's marks to be found just the incised number 5486 to be found on the back. The condition is good with no splits, cracks, nicks, damage or restoration.
