Super dark pattern! Fantastic! 79.6 mm F++/Gem
Egypt. There is a misconception that all dark pantherinas are funebralis. However, the dark and sometimes almost black color of funebralis occurs as a result of the accumulation of iron oxide by the shell. But there are pantherinas with a truly dark color. One of them is now in front of you - the dark chocolate color of the dorsum on the margina becomes almost black, then ...it turns into bright blue. Dark syringa is very easy to distinguish from funebralis - in syringa, the pattern on the margina at the point of transition to the base is spotty (normal for ordinar pantherinas), in the funebralis no pattern is formed on the margina. An amazing specimen. Fantastic pattern. It will be a great addition to your collection, especially if you already have funebralis. Don't miss this chance!
