Item for auction is a 1.31g fragment of NWA 11273 Feldspathic Breccia lunar meteorite. Material excavated from a site near Tindouf, Algeria was purchased by a consortium of collectors (Rob Wesel, Eric Twelker and Jason Phillips) in April 2017 from Moroccan dealers. A. Irving and S. Kuehner performed the petrographic analysis at UWS, and report that this meteorite is a breccia composed of mineral clasts of anorthite, olivine, exsolved pigeonite, pigeonite, augite, chromite, Ti-Cr-Fe spi...nel, kamacite, taenite and troilite in a finer grained matrix containing small vesicles and minor barite. Rare basalt clasts and glass fragments are also present. This moon rock would make a perfect addition to your collection, and comes in a quality labelled display box along with a Big Kahuna Meteorites Certificate of Authenticity. Scale cube in photo is 1cm on each side, and not included in sale. Big Kahuna combines shipping, and addresses must be in the English language, to facilitate customs input at US Postal Service. Non-English addresses cannot be shipped, and may incur additional fees for handling. We no longer ship to Italy. *Please be aware that the current COVID circumstances may have an impact on delivery times of domestic and international shipments. Many parcels are not leaving the US and/or are not being processed by international postal services and customs, and therefore may not be deliverable within the 30 day delivery policy that eBay demands.
