RimRock: Five Mixed Rare TOM MINER BASIN PETRIFIED WOOD Rough Slabs DescriptionWe got this from an old collection. This material comes from Tom Miner Basin in Wyoming. It is now part of Yellowstone Park, so it's no longer collectible.
These 5 pieces are showing different, colorful patterns with some wood structure. I see vugs and pits in all pieces and a few fractures in a couple of pieces, with the largest having the most and having some glue showing, I would assume fro...m trying to stabilize it. They're all otherwise solid.
They each measure, at their widest:
6-1/2" x 5-3/8" x 1/4"
5-1/2" x 4" x 1/4"
4-1/2" 2-1/8" x 7/16"
6" x 2-3/4" x 1/4"
5" x 3-5/8" x 1/2"
Total weight: 1 lb, 13.6 oz
