Offered, from the Middle Devoniamn, Eifelian of Hamar Laghdad, Moroccan Anti-Atlas, is a 2cm high relief example of a Lobopyge species with pygidial characters distinct from the otherwise similar L. brankavensis (Barrande 1872) and L. niobe Basse, 1998 and from other Lobopyge described from the Eifelian district of Germany.This example has retained the librigena and genal spines and is fully articulated. There are 4 pairs of pygidial margin spines that are not equidistant fro...m one another. Preparation is local but above average.Matrix approx. 10cm X 7cm X2cm.No reserve for a rare and displayable example of an unidentified Lobopyge !
