Here is a #10 out of 250 of a limited edition lithograph of concept artwork by Ray Harryhausen for an unproduced Willis O'Brien project entitled "Valley of the Mist" (1950) which Charles H Schneer later produced as Valley of Gwangi (1969). This 18.5" x 24" lithograph print from 1989 is numbered and is one of the first, if not the first, of several "Valley of the Mist" lithos that were subsequently released. This atmospheric rendering is reminiscent of the jungle setting from the origin...al King Kong (1933), its dense flora and fauna replaced with a desert setting for Harryhausen's eventual realization of O'Brien's proposed project. A wonderful limited edition tribute to the man who started it all, Willis O'Brien, by the man who dominated the art of stop-motion animation in the cinema.
