Gem bone can be found in every color imaginable, and with a mix of minerals. The most highly sought is agate replacement, although numerous minerals are found in gem bone. Pyrite, calcite, hematite and even amethyst and citrine is known. One of the rarer more popular patterns is full fortifications within the cell walls. The fort cells give the appearance of tiny fortification agates in each cell in a rainbow of colors possible.
