Original Description:
This listing features a long, full round petrified wood limb originating from the Owyhee Mountains of Eastern Oregon! The fossil wood shows excellent preservation of wood growth structure with an exterior of red colored bark and an interior that shows black, brown, gray, and tan pigmentation. The specimen has cell by cell replacement that is visible and scores of well defined very tight ring structure originating from the off-centered core! There are ribbons of translucent light blue to colorles...s agate that fill and extend beyond the voids and fissures within and about the original organic wood's structure! The display piece also shows several knots and branching smaller limbs as the photos depict. The round limb weighs 2 pounds 1.1 ounces and measures 171mm by 80mm by 68mm. All photographs were taken while the specimen was wet excluding the final two photos which portray the fossil wood while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
