This is a well preserved specimen of a member of the Asteroidea, or the True Sea Stars. Intact starfish specimens are quite uncommon in the fossil record because they often disintegrate quickly. The colors are entirely natural, and make for a most pleasing display of this starfish. This starfish measures 7/8"x7/8" on 1 1/2"x1 3/8" matrix, and is from the Heathcote Formation of Clom...binane, Victoria, Australia.I have other fossils for sale so check out my other listings and I will combine multiple items for a better shipping cost for international buyers.
