Danish pipemaking is all about design and artisanship. The late Poul Ilsted was a giant among giants, there will never be another pipe maker like him. This pipe is a perfect jewel as all Ilsted pipes are, and a great example of a shape that made him world famous. The bulldog is perhaps the most coveted shape in an Ilsted pipe. This pipe is a bent bulldog, otherwise known known as a Rhodesian. It has a breathtakingly beautiful bowl and shank. The colors are magnificently coordinated and... the grain is wonderful.
