DUNHILLPIPE LIGHTER VINTAGE PETROL POCKET WICK FLUID c1935Offeredfor sale is this Dunhill PIPE pocket lighter. This was first seen inthe Dunhill catalogue in 1935. Thisis a double wheel lighter which measures 53mm high x 43mm wide x 13mmdeep and carries patent number 390107 on the base. It is in verygood condition and a high quality example. Thelighter has the curved “Dunhill” arm with Dunhill in raisedlettering in a recessed panel on the arm and is in all originalcondition. Thedo...uble flint wheel mechanism works well and will produce a strongspark. It will require lighter fluid and a flint if required foroperation. Thelighter body is plain silver plated and has an stylised lettering JKSin a diamond shape with chasing in relief. Theslider mechanism for the pipetube works very well and this slides thepipetube in and out of the lighter body to raise and lower the wick.The slider is a tight fit in the lighter body, so I dont think thislighter has had much use. The liftarm has a good tight springaction with the full leaf spring fitted. Theare NO dings or dents whatsoever making this one of the nicestDunhill pipelighters I have seen in a long time.
