Hitchy Koo MatchHolder Ashtray Black Americana Schafer & Vater Bisque Smoking Item Description:Hello today we are offering a Hitchy Koo Match Holder/Ashtray.I believe this ashtray dates to around the 1920s andwas made by Schafer & Vater, who made a variety of Bisque figural ashtrays/match holders. I also believe it was made to recognise a popular play at thetime called Hitchy Koo.There are no makers marks on the item and there is nota huge amount of information available about ...it, the above paragraph providedis a summary of the information I have been able to obtain and feel bestrepresents the item, however there are heaps of photos in order for you to formyour own opinion of the item being offered. Overall, I would describe the item as being in very good- Excellent antique condition, signs of wear, marks, scratches, a couple oftiny fleabite sized chips and a minor stain to the inside of the mouth but nolarge chips, cracks or other major damage.Colours are still bright and vibrant.Would make an awesome addition to any Black Americanacollection, theatre/play collection or a great item for those that wantsomething different. No other match holders or ashtrays like this are currentlylisted (or have been recently sold) on eBay and I have been unable to see anylisted for sale else ware so bid now and make it yours!
