This is a very nice original Splitdorf NS-2 four cylinder magneto for an old motorcycle or other four-cylinder application. The tag says NS 2-2513. I believe this magneto was used on the Indian four cylinder motorcycles in the late 1920's and early 1930's. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns over nicely with no noticeable bearing wear. It has good magnetism and has a hot, blue spark. It is... counter clockwise rotation and mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and all of the mounting threads are in great shape. It has the original points cover on it and everything inside looks to be in great shape. The advance/retard lever has very little wear in the hole so I doubt this magneto was used much. These NS-2 magnetos are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you need one for an authentic restoration here is a real nice one. The pictures tell the story.
