Thayer Blueprint Plan. This comes with the original instructions.
The illusion is a cabinet, first shown empty by the magician entering it then removing a small cone that’s placed on top outside. The cone is seen to grow in size and the conclusion is that an assistant appears from within the empty cabinet. (That’s what I remember but there are a few pages of instructions that explain it all)
