I am always trying to offer the nicest vintage watches here on eBay. Here is another pocket watch that has been in my collection for tears. It is a SOLID 18k GOLD American Waltham Riverside Hunter's Case Pocket watch in a very ornate 12 sided case. The watch weighs 76.5 grams and measures 44.0 mm wide not incl...uding the bow and crown. Has super ornate front and back lids. The hinges are all good and tight. This Waltham watch dates back to 1878 per the SIGNED movement's serial # 1, 091, 008. It is a Model 1873 Riverside 11 Jewel lever set, stem wound watch with gold jewel settings and screwed chatons. This watch is NOT RUNNING and is sold for repair. I believe the balance is good as it does swing freely but this Riverside watch is sold as-is and as described. No returns on this 143 year old 18k gold watch and please bid accordingly. The white dial is SIGNED American Watch Co. and does not mention Waltham. The dial does have some damage near the 5 o'clock edge. Otherwise the white dial with black Roman numeral hour markers is clean. Has matching blued hands and a sunken seconds register. The glass crystal is clean.
