Click images to enlarge Description This MAGNIFICENT cotton 1910's/20's red, green and pink New York beauty/rocky mountain roa...d quilt is hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted, with unusual hand appliqued tulips in the background.
It measures 72" X 80" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear.
There is quilting around the applique and piecework and in straight line designs in the background, all at 5-6 stitches to the inch.
The back and hand stitched, rolled binding are solid red, and the batting is thin. There is a sleeve sewn on the back, making this quilt ready and suitable for use as a wall hanging. The quilt came out of Texas.
