This stunning academic nude male photograph dates from the 1920s or '30s and features a lean, muscular, athletic model in a beautifully lit studio pose that highlights his defined torso and smooth, translucent skin.
Neither the photographer nor the model is identified, but this is clearly the work of a professional studio. The photograph is very clear and the model's flesh is palpable. This photograph comes from a collection of late 19th and early 20th Century photography, including works by Gloeden and Townsend, much of which was not identified. Many of the images were possibly academic studies posed and photographed by an artist as research. Condition
