The large collar piling covering the shoulders was part of the official court robes chaofu. Only a few have survived, because they were removable, so many has been lost. This one is ornated with a pair of 5-claws side facing dragons chasing the pearl amongst multi-colour clouds. It has been hand made by silk and gold wrapped thread of a very high standard which certainly from no where but imperial court. Size: 32 x 78 cmIt is an amazing object which came from the imperial court. Condition is fair with some wear as it is quite common of antiques. Please check pictures super carefully for its condition as pictures are part of the condition report. It is quite hard to reflect its colour in the pics, picture 4 and 7 are pretty close in my opinion.
