THIS PIECE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS ONE SCRATCH WHICH IS NOT TOO DETRACTING. IT MEASURES JUST UNDER 3.25 INCHES ACROSS AND WEIGHS 15.9g.
THERE ARE NO SILVER MARKS BUT IT'S DEFINITELY SILVER.
THE INSCRIPTION IN LATIN TRANSLATES REMEMBER ME MOTHER OF GOD.
AS YOU CAN SEE ON THE REVERSE THE NAME DAME JACQUELINE DE LALAING IS BEAUTIFULLY ENGRAVED. AFTER A LITTLE RESEARCH I THINK SHE BELONGS TO FRENCH NOBILITY OF THE 17TH CENTURY. SO THE PIECE MAY DATE FROM THAT TIME AND ...JUDGING BY THE SCRIPT STYLE IT COULD.
THE QUALITY OF THE ENGRAVING IS REALLY VERY GOOD I THINK YOU WILL AGREE.
