1890s French Manufactured Doll. Original jointed composition & wood body. Beautiful vintage original costume with lace decor and accompanying hat, all in soft rose tones; Underneath she has undergarments of a lace trimmed full slip and a lace-trimmed pair of pantaloons. A superb overall condition, body in very good condition considering she is well over a 100 years old. She is a stunning antique ensemble, rare early SFBJ period model using the Jumeau open-mouth mode, upper tee...th, glass brown eyes, exaggerated eyebrows, painted lower lashes, hair upper lashes, glowing complexion with sweet pert lips, and human light brown hair cascading curls. She is wearing brown modern shoes and cream cotton knit socks. She presents so beautifully, she is sure to make an excellent addition to any collection! Note the awesomely low price... since this lovely lady was auction purchased for $1850 about a decade ago.
