This Bulova military hack is preowned, and in great physical and working condition. The watch winds and tells time properly after being set. The numbers show a beautiful patina from age. The acrylic dome shows some light scratches from age. I have never opened the back of the watch as I am not a professional and do not with to damage the insides. This Bulova A17A was designed in accordance with Military Spec Mil-W-6433A, and was made specifically as a navigational model for pilots in the Air Force. It features a 10BNCH 17-jewel mechanical movement with L8 date code which = 1958 model. The case was made from "passivated" stainless steel and is non-reflective specifically for military use, and measures in at 32mm. The crown was designed to be oversized and was made by Star Watch Case Co. (U.S.A.). The minute and hour hands feature a glow-in-the-dark luminosity designed to help pilots locate them in low-light situations. The seconds hand moves with a "hack" style - otherwise known as stop-second movement. Comes with an olive drab canvas band and buckle style clasp.
