This beautiful antique Singer 24 (B1202967) Automatic Chain Stitch Hand Crank Sewing Machine was manufactured in the July 10, 1905 lot in Elizabeth, NJ. This is a domestic portable machine. The paint and decals are in great condition with some needle scratches, chips, blemishes and wear as can be seen in the photos and expected for its age. The small flowers w/ red berry stenciling is outstanding. The cloth plate is marked "Patented APR 13, 1886". ...; The original bentwood case is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition with minimal wear and blemishes. The case lid has a neat storage compartment with a brass clasp. The machine has been oiled and turns freely. I have not sewn with this machine.
