Original Description:
Vintage "M1" Splitting Maul Axe Head. 
It is in good condition overall with some minor wear and blemishes. 
Not sure on brand, Collins and other name brand companies used the "M" stamp in the line of tools, but either way it is a good quality piece.
Weighs 8 lbs, 14 ounces total.
Measures 32 3/4" long. Head is 8 3/4" long with 3 3/4" cutting edge.
Handle is strong and tight. Small nick/crack on knuckle right near head.
