I believe this was the first “official” sniper scope issued to the U.S. Army at the time the United States entered into World War I. The scope was a prismatic design that allowed for a wide field of view... for a relatively high power. Cross hairs are visible with some very small bubbles inside the glass. I believe all the dials and doodads are attached where they belong. I have not tried to turn any of the dials and doodads. Leather case and rubber eye cup are missing.
The scope belonged to my deceased father in law. I know nothing about scopes so hopefully the photographs will show enough to answer any questions you may have.
