Lot X1Antique Vtg HUGE 14” Ashcroft Steam Engine Revolution Counter Gauge Solid Brass. One of the largest revolution counters we’ve come across. Also called an engine register, this would have been used on a really large engine, possibly in a mill, on a ship or other industrial equipment or factory. The counter mechanism works fine, and the gauge is in overall good condition. The key is not functional, it’s small tongue broke off. The lid can still be opened with a bit of effort.... the case is made out of solid brass and weighs 35lbs. Outside diameter of the case is 14”. Being sold as is, for decorative purposes.
