From the William Demuth Company, WDC, gone since the early seventies, comes this sweet billiard! About 5 1/4” long, bowl is 1 3/4” tall, 1 1/4” wide. ID 3/4”, depth 1 3/8”. Marked on one side of shank WDC in inverted triangle then Royal/ Demuth in script, other side IMPORTED BRIAR ROOT then 44, beneath shank FILTER PAT’D./ 1934. White triangle inlaid atop bit, FILTER stamped on side. No other marks detected.
Bit is well-seated push fit with metal sleeve for filter, clea...ned and polished, showing a couple light tooth marks above and below. Stummel is deep dark chocolate colored, variable grain, some finish wear, some scorch and knock wear on rim, lightly caked bowl. Based on patent marking, made no later than 1949!
