Here we have a superb vintage "Gold Block" 314 bent briar estate pipe, with an excellent grain to the briar, and crafted by master Irish pipe-maker K&P Peterson's.
It has been carefully smoked and remains in excellent condition overall - a few small dings and scratches on the briar - and a couple of tiny dings on the ferrule.
There is a good layer of carbon in the chamber, and a little darkening to the bowl rim.The stem fixes very securely to the shank, and air flows through the pipe freely.
Stamped on one side of the briar shank is "Peterson's" over "Gold Block", with "Made in the Republic of Ireland" and model number "314" on the reverse."Gold Block" is stamped on one side of the ferrule, with "K&P Petersons" on the reverse.
Please note: the pipe stand is not included in this auction
Thoroughly cleaned and ready to enjoy.Sold as seen.
