This is a nice antique original oil painting portrait of a man (see photos). The painting is an original work of art painted on canvas (see photos). The painting is the work of a talented artist (see photos). I do not see a signature on the painting, but the lower areas are pretty dark and I have not removed the painting from the picture frame (see photos and determine the artist). The item in total framed measures about 3 feet 2 inches high and it is about 2 feet 8 inches wide. The p...ainting portion without the picture frame measures about 2 feet 8 inches high and 2 feet 2 inches wide. The painting is much older that the picture frame (see photos). The item may be English in origin as the estate and former owner was from England (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The item is in as is as found condition. The picture frame has some losses, some scuffs and some other wear (see photos). The painting has paint losses, crazing, wear flaking paint, some repairs and other signs of wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). The painting is very nicely done and it is the work of a very talented artist. The painting is worthy of restoration and repair. This item would be a nice addition to your collection.
