Welcome to Antiques & Moore!This listing is for a lovely English Sterling Silver miniature or toy coffee pot, c. 1891-92. This wonderful little pot has a nice quality handle and finial on top. The piece is in excellent Estate condition showing only minimal signs of use and age. Marked on the lower bottom with English hallmarks for "London, Sterling" and date letter "Q" for 1891-1892. Measures 3" high wi...th a base diameter of 1 3/4". Hold 4 ounces of liquid and pours smoothly. Weighs 84 grams.Silver "toys" like this were made as fashionable trinkets for adults or toys for children of wealthy parents and copied with the exact details and proportions of normal sized pieces. They were made in a variety of subjects and sizes ranging from domestic items to furniture.
