Original Description:
I've had this around for many years and never was able to figure out what it's from -- perhaps a newel post or architectural adornment?  It's quite old and made of veined faturan cherry amber bakelite. I was told it's from Germany. Approximately 3" across.  Quite beautiful.On Nov-27-20 at 03:17:03 PST, seller added the following information:I have to add that there are NO CRACKS inside -- I keep receiving questions about that and I'll repeat -- there are no cracks. ... The bottom has a bit of crackling from age but the interior is solid with swirls and veins which catch the sunlight.  I'll be happy to forward more photos to anyone asking questions!!!!On Nov-27-20 at 03:20:49 PST, seller added the following information:Someone suggested there's gold mixed in as it gives off a golden-ish glow when the light hits but I really can't say as I'm not an expert.
