ANTIQUE CHINESE GILT BRONZE BUDDHA MING DYNASTY
A gold gilt lacquered Buddha dating from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Buddha is in representation of Shakyamuni seated in Dayanasana with the right hand extended in Varadamudra. The robe flows upon the stepped lotus base and the serene expression with downward casted eyes to the face. The long ear lobes signify spiritual enlightenment.
The gilding has been most likely touched up over the years and has a few minor losses. The entirety of the Buddha is intact and the blue pigment still remains in the hair. The base plate is missing.

Condition:Good overall condition. The lacquer has likely been touched up over the years. Pin holes can be seen on top of the double lotus base piercing through to the underside. No chips, cracks, restoration. Wear consistent with age. Minor paint losses throughout. Please refer to all photos in the listing.

Any conditional issues beyond that, will be clearly stated in the descriptions, along with the photographs. If an item has been misrepresented in any way, we will happily refund you for the cost of the item, along with any associated shipping costs. We will not provide a refund, in the event that you have 'changed your mind' and cancellations and exchanges are not permitted. If it has been determined that an item is 'returnable', it must be shipped back within 48 hours of the buyer receiving it.
ShippingWe offer worldwide shipping (please refer to the list of excluded countries below). If you are on the excluded list and would like to bid, please send us a message, and we can provide you with a shipping quote. We will only ship to the PayPal or credit card confirmed billing address. Our items are shipped through Canada Post/USPS and will include tracking. If you would like us to ship via courier, please send us an inquiry prior to paying for the item, and to obtain a quote. We ship within 3 business days after receiving payment of the item. Please be advised that due to the pandemic, there may be some delays with shipment that are beyond our control. We are happy to combine shipping whenever possible and all of our items are professionally packaged, with no additional cost to the buyer for handling costs, supplies, etc. We as sellers, are responsible for shipping our items. However, in the case of a lost or damaged item, the buyer is also responsible for taking action to help resolve the issue. If an item is lost, you must contact the shipping company, contact customs, and take all actions advised from the shipping company and customs. If an item is damaged on arrival, the buyer must immediately contact the seller (no longer than 24 hours after receiving it), otherwise the buyer themselves may be responsible for the damage. If you have any questions regarding the shipment of a particular item or would like to obtain additional insurances, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Payment MUST be made within 4 days after the auction has concluded, at which point, the item will be offered to back bidders. If more time is needed, please contact us immediately so that we can work with you to extend the payment terms if necessary.
Terms of SaleAll of the items in this auction will be sold to the highest bidder, with no reserve. Only bid on items if you are serious about purchasing them.
