DESCRIPTION / CONDITION (#10):This week I'm listing 9 more, mostly straight grain briar pipes. These are from the same estate that featured many Danish freestyle pipes auctioned a couple of weeks ago. This group features mainly Billiard or straight pipes of the same quality. I purchased this collection over 20 years ago so this is the first time they have been available for purchase. Note that none of these pipes are marked with brand or maker, but I'm sure many of you more advanced pi...pe guys will recognize some of them by the distinct features and quality. Note that the last photo shows all 9 pipes I'm listing this week, this auction is for just the 1 listed in this auction. Auctions will complete, no "Buy It Now" offers being accepted.
This pipe reminds me of some of the Bamboo Shank Dunhill pipes that I have seen, but the beautiful straight grain briar with flames makes it even nicer! UNSMOKED!… Retains all its original everything! Snug stem is the Vulcanite type, faded from age. The pipe is unmarked, so I have no way of confirming the pipes maker. The pipe is clearly of high quality and would make a great addition to your collection. I don't attempt to clean, polish or repair smoking pipes so each is "as found".
