Stickley Arm Rocker Arts And Crafts Style Mission Oak Rocker. Stickley Rocking Chair, from Leopold and John George Stickley’s Handcraft line (#817). This design was produced from at least 1910 to 1920 and production date of this one is probably 1918 or 1919 (based on history from previous owner whose father acquired it about 1935). The identifying decal under left armrest was not used until the consolidation of the Stickley brothers’ companies under the name Stickley Consolidated C...abinetmakers in 1916 which precludes production before that date. This chair appears in both the 1910 and 1922 Stickley catalogs although production of the Handcraft line was discontinued in 1920. See copy of 1910 catalog page. Chair has been stored in climate controlled home for the last 60 years and before that in well appointed living room in the Finger Lakes area of New York. A very comfortable, solid chair. Chair is in very good condition, wood is solid with no cracks or scratches, some scuffs along bottom rails (please see pictures). Seat cushion springs are still good with no breaks or sag. Leather has some age related drying but no tears or splits. Seat cushion can be lifted out.Shipped via Craters and Freighters - shipping fee includes crating and delivery and may be less depending on your location.
