This is an authentic hand made Arts and Crafts light Fixture c. 1900. You really don't see these very often, and most of the things that are listed as Arts and Craft...s are actually massed produced fixtures that are Arts and Crafts in style only. This fixture has outstanding details! The textured slag glass or Kokomo glass in in overall excellent condition. I did noticed a small hairline crack in one of the panes, which is shown in an up close picture. It really isn't noticeable unless upon close inspection. The leaded frame is in good antique condition, but there are some places where the lead has cracked or buckled. Being thin and lead, the frame is very flexible, and there are a few areas where the leading is no longer tight on the glass. The only place where this is easily noticed is shown in an up close pictures. This fixture has been professionally restored. The restoration includes new wiring, new socket insulation, and a replacement ceiling canopy. Finally it was given a dark grey or light black finish. The drop, or the distance the fixture hangs down is around 27 inches, and the width is 9 inches. I can adjust the drop by adding or removing chain. Removing chain is free while adding chain will add slightly to the cost. Contact me BEFORE your purchase for details. The lantern itself measures around 12.5 inches high, and 9 inches wide. The light bulb used is for display purposes, and is not included. You can use any standard size socket you want, 80 watts maximum. Quality light fixtures are one of the best additions you can make to your home! They add great character, and enhance the appearance of any room. All the mounting hardware for standard installation is included, so this fixture will be ready to install!
