This antique japanese samurai wakizashi katana sword appears to be a project piece or parts sword. The sword is not secured and although it has all the pieces the tsuka does not have the hole in the proper position to place a mekugi through. So the handle does not attach to the blade. The habaki is cracked and does not fit well. The seppas are in poor shape and the saya is a little rough. Now the good news… It’s really really cool. The blade has a signature and a very clear temper ...line. There are some spots on the blade. The blade is also razor-sharp and there’s about 20.5 inches in total length. This was peiced this together with pieces from other samurai swords all of The pieces are from the Edo period with the exception of possibly the Seppaa. I have no knowledge of the history of these pieces but I am confident they’re all original. That being said this auction is being sold as is. I am starting this and a very reasonable opening bid. I am not a Japanese sword expert. Please ask all questions you may have before bidding.
