Original Description:
Dallas, Texas based Pioneer Airline, known as "feeder" or "local service" carriers was originally named Essair which was created in 1939.  It  became the first airline to fly under the new classification, operating with a temporary certificate. It became Pioneer Airlines in 1946 and later merged with Continental Airlines in 1955.  This pin is gold tone with no hall marks etc on the back.  This badge has its original pin in place on the back of the badge. This pin is... in nice condition.  It weighs 0.2 oz.   It is 2 & 1/4 inches long.  Most likely it was a Flight attendant's / stewardess badge.
