SEIKO DIVER 7S26-0020 SKX007 STUNNING SPECIAL BESPOKE DIAL AUTOMATIC WATCH The dial is based on the Brian May Guitar “Red Special”The design of the Seiko Sports Brian May Limited Edition is inspired by the rocker’s legendary guitar, known as the Red Special (and often alluded to as The Fireplace or The Old Lady). At the age of 16, Brian May decided to build his own guitar from scratch and used wood taken from an old fireplace for the neck, buttons to mark the frets and ...a sixpenny coin as a pick. The sound produced is unique and perfectly recognisable in all Queen’s recordings, from the first in 1973 until today. Brian May has worn his 7548 sometimes on stage and as a daily beater. As somebody who could afford practically any watch under the sun, the Seiko is the only watch people have ever spotted on his wrist. This particular dial is a homage to the special edition Seiko produced with Brian May. This dial is an aftermarket bespoke dial not made by Seiko.

Absolutely superb example of this iconic divers watch with the caliber 7S26 movement which has 21 jewels and runs at 21, 600 bph. The 7S26 200m is the diver that replaced the 7002s and maintains a similar look and feel to classic divers in the 6105-6306-6309-7002 lineage. The 7S26 movement, which has 21 Jewels and runs at 21, 600 bph is a non-hacking movement like most traditional Seiko calibers and has a quickset day/date calendar system. The SKX007 is the standard model that is a direct descendant of the 6105-6306-6309-7002 line of divers. These traditional-style divers all have similar if not identical cases. One very small difference between the 7S26 divers and their predecessors is that the crown position on the 7S26 has moved to 3:45 o'clock instead of 4. All 200m divers have uni-directional locking bezels with 120-click graduations. They are one of the most popular and robust divers made. This watch has been lovingly restored and serviced by one of the most respected Seiko watch restorers and is looking stunning on a new stainless steel aftermarket jubilee bracelet and with a bespoke special dial and hands - a true iconic classic and a truly beautiful watch.
