A lovely Qing Dynasty Yellow / white Jade carving of a Bodhisattva Guanyin in prayer sat on a lotus pedestal with a small attendant stood on a lotus flower at her shoulder also in prayer.
Beautifully carved The stone is beutifully polished and of a lusterous Yellow and white colour. A beautifully tactile piece. The subject matter and scale suggests that this figure was a highly personal piece, perhaps made to be placed on an altar in the home of a wealt...hy individual.It measures approximately 13cm high x 5.5cm across.
