Original Description:
Offering a set of antique copper engravings from the Vitruvius Britannicus folio engraved by Colen Campbell and printed by Hulsberg c. 172O. These are the original antique engravings and not modern reproductions. Both prints display very well with no mars, tears or stains. The folio folds are seen on both prints. Overall, considering their close to three hundred year age, they are in very good to excellent condition. The engravings are titled; ‘South Elevation of Longleat in Wiltshir...e’ and ‘Elevation of Royal Exchange’. Both have Certificates of Authenticity at reverse and a framers statement of conservation. The frames are vintage gilded wood with slight wear and measure 24 X 30 inches. The sight size of the engravings are approximately 15 1/2 X 20 3/4 inches.
