ANTIQUE GEORGIAN HAND PAINTED LADY PORTRAIT MINIATURE PASTE BORDER BROOCH c1780
An antique enamel on copper portrait miniature, finely hand painted to depict a young lady, with a foiled clear paste border and mounted for wear as a brooch. A lovely early example...so collectible & very wearable!CONDITION: Generally good. Slight signs of wear & foil deterioration commensurate with age and use. A few scratches - see pictures. Back/pin fittings old replacements/additions....DATE/MARKS: Around 1780. Not marked.DIMENSIONS: 29 x 26 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.WEIGHT: Approx. 4.6 grams.Click here to view our other items.
