For additional pictures Click on "Read More" This Eye-Catching Aviation Zippo lighter is very well-preserved.This great slim Zippo was made in 1968. It sports the Old Logo of United Airlines and was likely given to one of their employees. United Airlines traces its claim to be the oldest commercial airline in the United States to the Varney Airlines air mail service of Walter Varney, who also founded Continental Airlines. It was founded in 1925 in Boise, Idaho. Today they are the worl...d's second largest airline (behind American Airlines) operating 399 aircraft. (I have provided a picture of one of their Beautiful Aircraft with their current logo for your enjoyment.) Because of the high gloss - mirror quality finish, it was difficult to take proper pictures. The dark spots are a reflection of my camera. This lighter is in great condition. The attached United Logo in perfect condition, retaining all it original colors. The recipient, who’s signature facsimile is reproduced on it, must have been a light smoker. The insert is original with a strong spring, the lid is tight, and a new flint has been installed for your convenience.
