Hello, and welcome to 'Tat and Treasure'. I have not been listing items on eBay in the last 12 months or so. As I'm in my 60's now I have been pursuing what I really enjoy doing, and that's the personel interaction of travelling around and standing (stall holder) at antique fairs and the like. But, as we all go through these unsettling times together the covid restrictions have driven me to start listing items once again, I have also taken on a part time job with our l...ocal Parish Council. I have a reasonable amount of items to list but I am not buying-in anymore to resell, and so once these items are gone that's it. The majority of my items have not been listed on eBay, I used to travel a lot and apart from picking up items at the antique fairs I was standing at, I also visited many antique shops and auctions as I travelled around. If I list anything and you believe that I have listed it incorrectly then please let me know so I can correct things if necessary, I would never intend to mislead anybody in any way. I have 45 years experience in antique items but this does not mean I always get it right. I would say read the description fully and check all the pictures carefully. Circa 19thC Bronze Tantric Skeleton with Kapala and Ghanta India/Tibet/Nepal
A striking bronze figure that never fails to attract attention. Condition is good with no damage or missing parts. Surface rubbing from handling. It is in two parts as can be seen in the pictures
A kapala or skullcup is a cup made from a human skull and used as a ritual implement (bowl) in both Hindu Tantra and Buddhist Tantra
Ghanta is a ritual bell
Height: 23cms, Width: 20.5cms. The base is 18cms x 8.5cms
Weight: 1533gms. The figure without the base is: 1017gms
