The system consists of reusable metal strips, plates, angle girders, wheels, axles and gears, and plastic parts that are connected together using nuts, bolts and set screws (also known as grub screws). It enables the building of working models and mechanical devices. Meccano maintains a manufacturing facility in Calais, France. This wonderful vintage erector set, no. 5 is sold in original red manufactured in England Meccano box.Inside the box is full wheels, rubber tires, plenty of metal building pieces, bolts, screws, etc. The set comes with instruction manual for the no. 5. erector set. The item has no issues normal where and tear but absolutely no neglect. Mild played-with condition, with minor wear/scuffing Box has minor wear to corners.
