Antique Imperial Russia solid 84 (875) silver tea glass holder, made in Moscow 1915-1917 by Artel #29.The Artels in Imperial Russia were semi formal co-operatives in different fields, including gold and silversmithing. An Artel is a factory but opposite of mass production. It produced unique objects or piece of art of very high quality including enamel (cloisonne and guilloche), high quality silver objects, in class with Court suppliers and Faberge's supplier. Artel #29 were working in... traditional style and produced sugar bowls, tea cup holders and tea sets. There are very limited amount of there work survived to our days, these are RARE and highly collectible. Dimensions: approximately 4 5/8" height (to top of the handle) x 2 7/8" body height x 2 5/8" inside diameter x 3 1/8" diameter at the bottom (11.6 cm x 7.2 cm x 6.5 cm x 7.8 cm). Total weight is 146.6 grams. Condition: Excellent for the age, expected wear from use: small scratches, dents, etc. PLEASE NOTE: the glass tumbler is not included in this listing.
