Item: Up for auction is an unusual antique... Chinese reticulated pale celadon jade round shape plaque. It is finely carved and pierced with three deer and couple of crane, surrounded by lingzhi and flowers. I do not know what this plaque was made for, maybe hair ornament? or a base portion of cover now missing top portion?
Size: 5 1/2" diameter X 1 1/4" wide X 14 3/4" circumference.
Age: Ming dynasty.
Condition: Overall good condition but it does have several glue repairs, spots of small nicks on tip of the carvings and I believe one piece is missing. Please study all images well for the defects.
