The clock is the noteworthy tombstone shape and has a soothing Tick-Tock, quarter hour chimes / hourly salutes (see the YouTube link below). https://youtu.be/my57HF9EI5MThe Seth Thomas No. 11 case has been carefully cleaned/refurbished; we installed two new mainsprings and several ...bushings at the oblong pivot points. The door operates as designed and we attached a high quality felt pad to each foot to prevent scratching on delicate surfaces. The case is hardwood with beautiful grain patterns and ornate trim around the base. On the right hand side is a lever to silence the chimes. Very few Seth Thomas Westminster clocks like this still remain; the 10lbs of brass in these clocks were often sent to the smelters during WWII to make brass casings. It has the same movements as the Sonora chiming clocks. It was truly a pre-WWII high-end chiming clock.The uniqueness to this style of Seth Thomas Westminster Chime clock is the two separate movements that interact to provide the correct chimes and salutes. The time movement is a 89AM 8-day dual train that operates the time and hourly salutes. The 119 movement operates the quarter hourly chimes; 4 chime tones at 15 past the hour, 8 chime tones at 30 minutes past the hour, 12 chime tones at 45 minutes past the hours, and 16 chime tones at the top of the hour prior to the hourly salutes. It is remarkable clockmanship that allow these two movements to trip actions between each other.The face has been cleaned, it has minor scuffs/nicks/wear from normal usage. It allows for adjustments to the time (fast and slow), and winding the time/chime arbors. The brass around the glass was cleaned and adds charm to the face. Glass / crystal is original with beveled edge in excellent condition.The key is new with the Seth Thomas mark.The pendulum bob/weight is original with the clock.We installed a new pendulum extension rod for accurate time keeping.We installed two new main springs in the 89 movement supplied by Timesavers and several new bushings at the worn/oblong pivot points on both movements, bushings are high quality bronze pressed in carefully. Clock dimensions are 10" wide x 7.5" deep x 14" high.We serviced the movement and will provide a 1-year warranty; with our synthetic oils, this family treasure will remain operational for many years. The No. 11 clock keeps time very well and has a very pleasant chime. We really appreciate the Seth Thomas mechanical clocks for the workmanship and details. This clock is heavy and well built with quality pre-WWII US made materials.Refurbished antique clocks are excellent wedding, holiday, graduation, anniversary, retirement, and birthday gifts. Our clock comes with a sturdy box for shipping and storage as well as detailed instructions for putting the clock in to service.For shipment, we carefully protect the moving parts inside the clock and then wrap in high quality bubble wrap. We then fill the box with foam peanuts and nestle the antique clock in the middle.
