VINTAGE ANGLO-INDIAN CARVED & INKED
BONE OVERLAY VIZAGAPATAM BOX
You are being offered a fairly large Vintage Anglo-Indian Wooden Vizagapatam Box, with a Hinged Lid and Four Paw Feet made of Brass or Bronze and it is Overlaid with Hand Carved and Inked Ox Bone and decorated with Hand Painted Animals and Birds along with Flowers and Leaves on a Brick-Red Ground protected by a coating of what appears to be Clear Plastic Film. The Box is not signed and it doesn’t... have any identifying marks; but we believe it was made for Export in Vizagapatam, Andhra Pradesh, India during the Mid-20th Century. The Box stands a little over 6 inches high not including its feet and 7 inches high with its feet included and it measures almost 15¼ inches long and almost 11¼ inches wide. Except for signs of wear consistent with its age and use, the Box is in Very Good Condition, without any form of damage or losses. Please refer to the photographs on the left for further details. Our choice of Shipping Service and the Method of Shipping we select, will be based on the Buyer's Preference and the Costs involved. Stated Terms and Shipping Charges Apply Only To Addresses Within The Continental United States. Shipments to addresses outside the Continental United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, will incur higher shipping charges that will vary according to the shipment's destination. International Shipments valued at $250.00 or more will be shipped by USPS Express Mail International because it is the only form of Mail that can be tracked after the Shipment passes through the destination country’s Customs. All other International Shipments valued less than $250.00 will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail International, except in certain instances when Inexpensive Items shipped in Small, Light-Weight Packages qualify for lower USPS First Class International shipping rates. In such cases, the Buyer will be notified by email and given the choice of how they want their package shipped. However, we will Not Ship packages by USPS First Class Mail International to certain countries because packages cannot be tracked after leaving the United States and too many packages have been lost.
