This listing is for an antique set of 8 French Limoges porcelain plates that are hand painted and artist signed by Theodore Haviland Limoges. They are 12 sided and measure 10 1/4 inches or 26 cm in diameter.The plates have a white ground with heavy encrusted gold verge on the edges and inner rims, each plate is glazed with a wide inner border around a hand painted scene at the center. Each plate has a different hand painted seascape scene with figures and 3 cartouches of landscapes ar...ound the outside border. The plates are also further enhanced with heavy applied gold on the foot. They have excellent attention to detail throughout, and are signed by the artist "MANPERT". They are marked on the back in green "THEODORE HAVILAND FRANCE" and in red "THEODORE HAVILAND LIMOGES FRANCE" along with an impressed mark "TH".
